Senior Finance Executive (fixed-term through December 2026)

The Finance team manages TEAM’s internal accounting and financial operations. From budgeting and forecasting to financial reporting and compliance, the team provides the insights and controls needed to guide informed decision-making and ensure the long-term financial health of the organisation.
The role
As Senior Finance Executive, on a fixed-term contract through December 2026, you will support the Finance team in ensuring that Accounts Payable and expense-related processes are accurate, efficient and well organised. In addition to overseeing invoice and expense processing, you will act as a key point of contact, providing guidance and support on day-to-day finance, expense and accounting-related matters across the business.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

Expense management
  • Processing employee expense claims, supplier invoices, payments and corporate credit card transactions.
  • Reviewing and auditing staff travel and other expense claims in line with company policies.
  • Monitoring and reconciling petty cash and cash expenses.
Accounts payable & receivables support
  • Processing reminders and statements of account.
  • Supporting follow-up on outstanding items and resolving discrepancies.
Accounting & reconciliations
  • Booking financial transactions and reconciling accounts for a subsidiary.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation and proper filing of financial records.
Policies, controls & compliance
  • Reviewing, implementing and helping maintain financial policies, procedures and internal guidelines.
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of finance processes and internal controls.
Administrative & ad hoc support
  • Supporting the Finance team with various administrative tasks.
  • Assisting with ad hoc projects and analyses.
Stakeholder support
  • Responding to finance-related queries from internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Acting as a reliable and approachable point of contact for day-to-day finance matters.
The candidate
You have experience working in accounting and/or finance, ideally within an international organisation. You have completed a commercial apprenticeship (EFZ) or an equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, or you hold a Bachelor’s degree from a University of Applied Sciences (FH) or university with a focus on Finance, Accounting or Business (this is an advantage, but not essential).

You are comfortable managing multiple tasks, prioritising effectively and working to deadlines. You work accurately and pay attention to detail, and you use Microsoft Excel confidently (e.g. formulae and pivot tables). Experience working with ERP systems and familiarity with Business Central and/or SAP S4/Hana is a valuable asset. You apply accounting principles in your day-to-day work and are familiar with Swiss accounting standards under the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR). Your approachable and supportive manner helps you build positive working relationships across the organisation.
